The Honors Physiology program offers comprehensive knowledge about cellular processes and the functioning of tissues and organ systems. This curriculum emphasizes human physiology while offering diverse course selections for students specializing in various life science disciplines such as molecular biology, endocrinology, heart and circulatory studies, and brain science. The Bachelor of Science Honors track provides focused education in specialized subjects and prepares students for scientific investigation. Each program includes a mandatory research thesis component and requires superior academic performance compared to standard BSc Major degrees. While students may complement their studies with a minor from Arts, Indigenous Studies, Business, or Agricultural/Life/Environmental Sciences, this choice limits elective course options. The Honors track does not permit double majors.

The University of Alberta's Faculty of Science provides exceptional programs that examine, clarify, and study the fundamental scientific principles impacting everyday experiences. Offering 65 degree options across 30 disciplines, we rank among Canada's most extensive science faculties, featuring cutting-edge educational resources, undergraduate research opportunities, and faculty members who are prominent experts in their respective fields.
