Learn alongside globally renowned scholars and mentors in one of North America's most extensive and vibrant religious studies departments. The Biblical Studies program at Trinity Western University will educate, challenge, and transform you. Students examine Jewish and Christian Scriptures from historical and theological perspectives, uncovering how these texts have deeply influenced faith communities throughout history and today. Guided by our dedicated faculty in the Department of Biblical and Theological Studies, students expand their scriptural knowledge and engage with contemporary critical debates in biblical scholarship. As they progress, students develop a thorough grasp of biblical texts, learning to craft original scholarly insights and present them with professional, persuasive, and faith-strengthening clarity.

Certificate of matriculation from recognized universities.
International Baccalaureate with at least two subjects at the higher level.

Submit official TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge English Qualifications, PTE Academic, CAEL, or Duolingo exam results, meeting the admission requirements in the table below. Test results are valid for admission to TWU for up to two years from the examination date. Tests taken more than two years prior will not be valid for admission. These results must be submitted at the time of application. TOEFL - Overall Score 88 or higher with minimum score of 20 in each band. IELTS - Overall score 6.5 or higher with minimum score of 6.0 in Writing/Reading and 5.5 in Speaking/Listening.
