Examine how gender dynamics and power structures influence our culture, historical development, and modern world through this distinctive interdisciplinary program at Trent. As a Gender & Social Justice scholar, you'll benefit from integrating methodologies across arts, sciences, and social sciences to investigate diverse themes surrounding gender, race, socioeconomic status, ability, and sexual orientation. Through interactive workshops and community-engaged courses, you'll question conventional perspectives on feminism, gender norms, and societal disparities while formulating your own strategies for promoting fairness and justice. Under the mentorship of distinguished faculty researchers and advocates (including Canada Research Chair holders), you'll hone valuable critical analysis, communication, and social consciousness abilities that are highly valued across multiple professional fields such as social services, education, organizational management, government, and corporate sectors, among others.
