Our Energy Systems Engineering Technician and Technology (ESET) program alumni pursue dynamic roles as Renewable Energy System Designers, Clean Energy Project Managers, and Installation Specialists. They also gain specialized knowledge in building energy management, leading to fulfilling careers as Energy Managers and Auditors.
The achievements of our graduates demonstrate the increasing focus among organizations, governments, and individuals on both the economic and ecological impacts of energy consumption. ESET alumni are meeting industry demands by applying their expertise to develop renewable energy solutions and assess energy usage in homes and businesses, proposing strategies to lower consumption, decrease emissions, and cut expenses.
St. Lawrence College boasts some of Canada's most advanced learning facilities, featuring comprehensive labs where students master the design, sizing, and installation of solar photovoltaic, solar thermal, and other sustainable energy systems for both grid-tied and off-grid applications. Our commitment to renewable energy is further evidenced by our operational 250kW rooftop solar array.
Beyond standard curriculum, we've secured numerous opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience through initiatives in Texas, Jamaica, and our Sustainable Energy Applied Research Centre (SEARC). Many graduates have also progressed to Bachelor's degree programs at universities across Canada and internationally.
