Engineering is an innovative, interdisciplinary pursuit that showcases human creativity at its finest. At StFX, the story of humanity and engineering are deeply connected, which is why our committed Engineering faculty have designed the program with this principle in mind. In many ways, human progress mirrors engineering progress, as our resourceful problem-solving remains tightly linked to everyday life. Nearly every object we interact with—or will create—demands engineering knowledge…and you could be part of that future.

StFX boasts a faculty of professional engineers who mentor students beyond just lectures and labs. With class sizes comparable to high school, adjusting to university life is seamless. We foster teamwork through close ties with other science departments, ensuring students thrive when transferring to Dalhousie or launching their careers.

StFX offers three flexible pathways to earn an Engineering Diploma—completed in 2, 3, or 4 years. Diploma holders can then apply to Dalhousie for a Bachelor of Engineering degree or pursue degree completion elsewhere.
