This program is designed for current educators seeking to help students gain deeper knowledge and appreciation of the environment in its broadest sense. It incorporates elements of environmental education, examining ecological concerns through interdisciplinary studies while addressing both historical and modern aspects of human-environment relationships across various curricula. To complete the program, candidates must finish 30 units of upper-division or graduate-level coursework (including prerequisites) within five years. At least 15 of these units must be in education or related professional courses, with a maximum of 12 transfer units allowed.

Qualification Requirements

A bachelor’s degree from SFU or its equivalent from a recognized institution, a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. IELTS - Overall band score of 7.0 of the academic (NOT general) test with a minimum of 6.5 in each section. TOEFL IBT - 93, with a minimum score of 20 in each category. For the paper-based TOEFL test, the University normally requires a score of 580, with TWE 5. Pearson Academic (PTE) - Overall 65 minimum 60 in all of their sections.
