The Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science provides a Bachelor of Science (BSc) honors degree in actuarial science through the Faculty of Science.
Established in 2001, the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science has evolved into a vibrant community with around 530 undergraduate students, 62 graduate students, and 24 faculty members. The department's faculty are recognized nationally and internationally for their contributions to applied and theoretical statistics, actuarial science, and emerging fields like data science. Students at both undergraduate and graduate levels thrive in our department's collaborative and individualized learning atmosphere.
Our actuarial science major and honors programs expose students to diverse fields (mathematics, statistics, economics, business, and computer science) to equip them for careers in actuarial work.
