This insurance customer service program starts with an introduction to business and insurance service concepts (both theoretical and practical), emphasizing distribution systems. You'll gain comprehensive knowledge to excel in customer service positions within insurance brokerages, agencies, or direct insurance providers. Serving as an excellent foundation for further certifications, the program equips you with versatile skills for today's evolving business landscape.
Customer Service Fundamentals - Insurance is a one-year Ontario College Certificate program that provides students with fundamental business and insurance knowledge, concentrating on customer service and distribution methods.
Upon completion, graduates qualify to take licensing examinations through the Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO) or OTL. Additionally, students may earn the General Insurance Essentials Certificate from the Insurance Institute of Canada. Program graduates can also advance their education by entering the second year of Fanshawe College's two-year Business - Insurance Ontario College Diploma program.
