By thoroughly investigating modern software and technological advancements, you can enhance and apply your artistic abilities. From crafting large-scale destruction sequences to broadening production possibilities, virtually all contemporary films rely on visual effects. Through collaboration with peers in various film disciplines, you'll develop the skills to contribute meaningfully to production pipelines while generating and incorporating digital elements that serve the narrative. Sheridan's Visual Effects program offers the industry's most thorough training, building upon the expertise and resources of our acclaimed Computer Animation and Advanced TV and Film departments. Sheridan's Computer Animation program or equivalent as assessed by Sheridan.
A postsecondary diploma or degree in art and/or design.
Demonstrated competence through relevant educational and/or work experience.
Credentials earned at less than the equivalent of an Ontario College Diploma will not be considered as having met the academic entrance requirements.
A thorough understanding of 3D CG modelling, texturing and lighting (Maya or Houdini preferred) as well as basic animation and compositing skills are essential factors to qualify for this program.
TOEFL IBT - overall score 88 with no individual section below 21
IELTS - 6.5 Overall Band Score with no Band below 6.0.
