During your initial two years, you'll develop fundamental architecture competencies including CAD software proficiency, structural systems, documentation creation, and facade detailing. In your third year, you'll collaborate with actual community clients, master advanced software tools, develop comprehensive project blueprints, and more. You'll also compile a professional portfolio to enhance your post-graduation employment prospects.
Architectural Technology students have the option to enroll in a paid cooperative education program. This practical experience allows you to acquire hands-on industry knowledge and establish valuable connections within architectural and construction sectors. Past participants have secured positions with organizations like the City of Mississauga and PCL Construction.
Professional Pathways
Graduates pursue diverse roles across multiple disciplines such as design and drafting, construction oversight, cost estimation, technical writing, project coordination, and municipal building administration. Upon completing this three-year program, you'll possess the skills to assess project needs, execute design and technical solutions for modest construction ventures, and contribute as part of a team for more complex building projects under guidance.

Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, including these required courses:
One English, Grade 12 (ENG4C or ENG4U) plus
One Math Grade 12 (C or U) or Math Grade 11 Functions (MCR3U) or Functions and Applications (MCF3M)
Minimum 65% overall average or
Mature student status.

Duolingo English Language Test - overall score of 105 with no individual subscore lower than 85
Cambridge English Test Exams (B2 First/C1 Advanced/C2 Proficiency score) - overall Cambridge English Scale score 169 with no individual score below 162
CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language) online or in person - overall score 60 with no individual section below 50
Sheridan EPA test - Listening Band - 4.0 Reading Combined Band - 4.0 Writing - CLB 7
Sheridan's ESL program EAP level - A minimum score of 70% in listening and speaking and 70% in reading and writing. General Education courses and Navigating Digital Environments (INFO) minimum required grade of 50%.
