This two-year Peace and Justice Studies diploma focuses on fostering peaceful cultures via interdisciplinary learning, conflict resolution techniques, and hands-on service experiences. Students can also participate in international studies through PEAC 205: Global Perspectives in Peace: An Independent Study Course. As the world evolves, people are exploring innovative nonviolent and sustainable solutions to conflicts. Covering peacebuilding at all levels from personal to global, this program blends humanities and social sciences coursework with practical service learning or independent peace research projects.

Selkirk College's Admission Requirements:
Have graduated from a BC Senior Secondary School or equivalent, or
Be 19 years of age or over at the time of application, or
Be under 19 years of age but have a written recommendation from your Secondary School Principal
Peace & Justice Studies Academic Admission Requirements
Minimum grade of 60% in English 12 or English 12 First Peoples or equivalent. Students who do not meet this requirement must write the Language Proficiency Index (LPI) test and achieve a minimum of level 4 to attain equivalency.
Submission of a TOEFL score of IBT 80 or better; or
Submission of an IELTS score of 6.0 with no individual band less than 5.5 or better; or
Submission of an acceptable score on the Language Proficiency Index score of 4 or better.
