The Health Care Assistant Program helps you build the confidence, knowledge, and abilities needed to deliver safe care while supporting clients' physical, emotional, and social needs across various healthcare environments. For the initial 16 weeks, you'll take theory classes either online or on-site, then proceed to hands-on lab sessions at the Trail Campus. The program concludes with a 270-hour practicum in residential and community care settings during the last ten weeks. Flexible learning options are available to accommodate your schedule. Upon completion, you'll join healthcare teams as a valued professional working under licensed practitioners' guidance.
