Licensed practical nurses (LPNs) partner with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care while advocating for wellness across diverse populations.
The evolving healthcare landscape demands adaptable LPNs who thrive in team environments, embrace diverse workplace settings, and deliver skilled, ethical, and empathetic patient services.
Clinical experience
This program requires hands-on training across multiple healthcare environments, including hospitals, senior care facilities, maternity wards, children's units, mental health services, community health programs, home healthcare, and college simulation labs.
Training schedules may involve early mornings, nights, weekends, or holidays, with shift durations between 6-12 hours starting as early as 7 am or as late as 11 pm.
These essential practicum courses bridge classroom learning with real-world application, preparing students for professional healthcare challenges.
Clinical training positions are generally unpaid.
Students are responsible for all placement-related expenses including transportation and housing.
Professional pathways
As vital healthcare team members, LPN graduates find employment in nursing homes, hospitals, community health organizations, and psychiatric care facilities.
