Saskatchewan Polytechnic's Auto Body Technician program might be the perfect choice for you. This program equips students for careers in auto body shops, dealerships, and independent garages. The role requires physical tasks like bending, standing, and handling heavy equipment, but also offers creative opportunities—strong color perception and attention to detail will make your abilities highly sought-after. This one-year certificate program is available at both Saskatoon and Regina campuses.

Career Opportunities
After completing the program, graduates qualify for entry-level roles in body shops, private garages, paint facilities, and commercial vehicle fleets. While auto body technicians learn diverse skills, many specialize in areas like painting, frame alignment, glass work, or structural repairs.
Pursuing a Motor Vehicle Body Repairer journeyperson certification opens doors to supervisory roles, appraisal center positions, or even starting your own auto body business.
