The Communication Design program fosters investigative and experimental approaches that push beyond conventional graphic design boundaries. You'll engage in carefully crafted projects to pioneer fresh perspectives, dissolve disciplinary lines, refine your unique aesthetic, and connect with accomplished design innovators. Beyond foundational theory and hands-on work, you'll acquire professional insights through a structured mentorship initiative pairing you with seasoned practitioners. Together with your mentor, you'll refine projects, integrate constructive critiques, generate innovative concepts, and examine current industry practices. The curriculum includes continuous portfolio development to prepare you for professional opportunities. As a culminating experience, you'll conceptualize, design, and construct an immersive exhibition to present your work to faculty, mentors, potential employers, and design leaders.
