The field of child and youth care is an evolving profession that leverages your talent for forming deep connections. These bonds enable you to guide young people through life's obstacles. The Child and Youth Care program equips you with essential knowledge and hands-on training to professionally assist children, youth, families, and communities. Throughout this program, you'll enhance your abilities through practical coursework and fieldwork, mastering key skills aligned with national benchmarks. Guided by dedicated educators and advisors, you'll cultivate trauma-aware, relationship-focused, and equity-centered approaches to help individuals flourish and initiate positive change. Additionally, you'll establish professional ethics and learn to implement research-backed methods for conducting thoughtful assessments and interventions.

Mature Student Admission Requirements
If you are 19 years of age or older and have been out of high school for a minimum of one year at time of application, and you do not meet the regular admission requirements, you may apply under the Mature Student admission requirements.
