The Queen's School of Nursing provides a rigorous and forward-thinking MNSc program designed to equip students with essential critical evaluation skills for establishing evidence-based nursing practices. This program also develops the expertise required to undertake independent research studies and collaborate effectively within research teams. Immersed in a scholarly academic setting, graduates emerge ready to assume leadership roles in clinical practice, education, or healthcare administration.
Our conventional MNSc curriculum combines coursework with a substantial thesis component, with the research project accounting for approximately two-thirds of the program duration. Instruction occurs primarily through intimate graduate seminars, fostering dynamic discussions about theoretical concepts, clinical applications, and research methodologies while supporting individual research pursuits. With dedicated faculty mentorship, most students complete the program within two years.
Tailored for individuals committed to advancing nursing science, the MNSc offers both course-focused and research-focused pathways. Students cultivate analytical and investigative abilities within an intellectually stimulating environment that champions academic excellence. This degree prepares graduates for impactful careers in patient care, nursing instruction, or healthcare leadership positions.
International students must be graduates of a baccalaureate program in nursing that is equivalent to a 4-year Canadian program.
