The Department of Biomedical and Molecular Sciences (DBMS) at Queen's University provides graduate programs for Master of Science (Anatomical Sciences), Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees. For the M.Sc. and Ph.D programs, students can specialize in one of five research areas that reflect the department's expertise. Qualification Requirements

Ph.D.: A Master's degree is normally required for admission to the Ph.D. program although in certain circumstances direct admission to the Ph.D. program is possible. An offer of admission to the M.Sc. (research) or Ph.D. programs depends upon the matching of a supervisor in a laboratory in your areas of interest. If an English Language Proficiency Test is required, the School of Graduate Studies requires the following minimum scores: TOEFL (paper-based): 550, (2) TOEFL iBT: Writing (24/30), Speaking (22/30), Reading (22/30), Listening (20/30), for a total of 88/120 (applicants must have the minimum score in each test as well as the minimum overall score), or (3) IELTS: 7.0 (academic module overall band score) A complete application must include official, up-to-date transcripts for all current and previous study the applicant has listed in the Academic Background section of the application.
