The Department of Physics at Queen's University ranks among Canada's top research institutions for Physics, Engineering Physics, and Astronomy. Our distinguished faculty comprises internationally renowned physicists specializing in groundbreaking theoretical, applied, and experimental physics research. Both staff and students conduct studies on campus and at premier global facilities, including major astronomical and astro-particle observatories like Gemini and SNO, along with the High Performance Computing Virtual Lab (featuring the Centre for Advanced Computing's supercomputer).
