Acquire essential skills for pursuing a career in aircraft structural maintenance. Designed for beginners with minimal or no prior experience, this program prepares participants for Aircraft Maintenance Engineer apprenticeships. The 37-week (1,062-hour) full-time curriculum combines theoretical classroom instruction (about 50% of daily activities) with practical workshops at OC's Aerospace Campus near Kelowna International Airport. This Transport Canada-approved program meets national standards and awards an Okanagan College certificate upon graduation. Participants earn 10 months' experience credit toward Transport Canada's 36-month requirement. After fulfilling all work experience obligations and passing the regulatory examination, graduates become eligible for a Transport Canada AME S License.
