The Bachelor of Fine Arts with a Major in Expanded Media provides students with chances to investigate cross-disciplinary methods, teamwork, research, and conceptual/social themes across various media arts forms such as film, video, installations, performances, sound art, digital media, and photography. This program encourages blended media techniques, allowing students to leverage their unique abilities whether they span fine arts, design, craftsmanship, or theoretical studies. Centered around studio practice, the curriculum emphasizes experimentation, interdisciplinary work, and idea evolution. Through multiple fine and media arts classes, participants will examine a broad spectrum of visual arts topics from a cross-disciplinary perspective. These courses also facilitate internship opportunities at galleries, museums, and artist-led spaces.
Applicants currently completing high school must submit a record of all studies from at least grade 10 onward. These transcripts should include at least mid-term or first semester grades for the graduating year.
All high school applicants must have completed grade 12 (or the highest grade level required for secondary graduation) with an average of 70% or higher, including a minimum grade of 70% in grade 12 English for university preparation. Advanced Placement (AP) courses with a grade of 4 or higher are eligible for transfer credit.
