The Pre-health Sciences: Pathway to Advanced Diplomas & Degrees is a one-year certificate program designed to explore various healthcare career options while serving as the foundational step for Northern's nursing and paramedic programs.

With two annual intake options, students can choose the learning format that suits them best
Qualified graduates may enter Queen's Bachelor in Health Sciences (BHSc) program with four first-year university credits. This fully online BHSc program offers pathways to Dentistry, Medicine, Graduate Studies, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Pharmacy, and Veterinary Medicine.

The certificate also meets entry requirements for most healthcare programs at Ontario community colleges.

Through its comprehensive curriculum, students establish strong foundations in chemistry, physics, psychology, and human biology - covering genetics, microbiology, and common diseases.

Participants will enhance their mathematical abilities, communication skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities. The program also teaches vital workplace skills like negotiation techniques, mediation strategies, and conflict resolution methods.

In this program, Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics will provide students with a solid background to satisfy the entrance requirements for Northern's Nursing Baccalaureate, RPN, Paramedic, Massage Therapy and Medical Laboratory Technician programs.

A 3.0 GPA in this program is a requirement to be admissible to the BScN program.
IELTS Academic (International English Language Testing System minimum overall band of 6.0 must be achieved with no individual Band score under 6.0
TOEFL - A score of 550 paper and 213 computer-based and 79 IBT
