Nipissing University's Psychology program lets you investigate these questions and more. From examining brain tissue to understanding psychotherapy techniques, our comprehensive program covers all aspects. Distinguished, grant-supported faculty frequently invite undergraduates to participate in their research teams, giving students precious hands-on experience that enhances their coursework and readies them for professional paths or advanced studies. Nipissing's smaller campus creates significant benefits for students, offering more chances to participate without compromising course variety. Our Psychology Department provides a complete range of classes spanning all key fields of the subject.
At Nipissing University, Psychology students can opt for either a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree. The primary distinction lies in elective selections: BA candidates select from humanities and social sciences (such as English, Philosophy, Criminal Justice, Sociology, and History), while BSc students choose science-based electives (including Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics). The BSc pathway allows students to earn a Neuroscience Certificate by combining specific courses with an Honours thesis in Neuroscience. Alternatively, the BA program provides a Certificate in Early Intensive Behaviour Intervention for Autism Spectrum Disorder.
