Graduates of the Protection, Security and Investigation (Customs Border Services) program develop strong interpersonal and communication abilities, keen attention to detail, and the capacity to properly implement different legislative frameworks when identifying and examining possible unlawful activities at Canadian border crossings both domestically and abroad. The curriculum is delivered by ex-federal government professionals with deep investigative backgrounds. Acquire real-world experience through volunteer placements with community service organizations. Practical training occurs in the Justice Studies Simulation Lab with hands-on learning approaches. After completing their first year and a First Aid course, students qualify to take the Ontario Security Guard licensing examination.
