As a Horticultural Technician, your focus will be on eco-friendly cultivation methods and upkeep procedures to enhance biodiversity in urban and suburban environments. This program begins each September. Key features include our 125-acre Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus, which functions as an active learning space featuring NC Greenhouse Nursery (Ontario's largest instructional greenhouse), a landscape design studio with computer lab, and a climate-controlled landscape workshop. Explore innovative methods for cultivating flowers, fruits, lawns, and trees. Develop practical skills in sustainable horticulture through work with campus landscapes, gardens, and greenhouse facilities. Acquire hands-on knowledge of plant care to preserve ecological diversity. This is a two-year diploma program.
