Under the mentorship of our engaged faculty and Memorial University's innovative approach to distance and blended education, we offer a customizable academic path designed around each student's unique research focus, blending theoretical analysis with hands-on investigation. Learners can utilize studios, research resources, and expert guidance across various disciplines within the Visual Arts program and throughout Memorial University's extensive network. Additional residency options are available at Memorial's other campuses in St. John's, Norris Point, Labrador, and Harlow (UK).

Situated in Corner Brook on Elmastukwek Bay of Islands within traditional Mi'kmaw territory, Grenfell Campus offers a hybrid low-residency MFA program that can be finished in five or six semesters across two years. The program commences with an intensive on-campus session during May and June, followed by fall and winter terms completed remotely from the student's home or another Memorial University campus with online supervision. Participants return to Grenfell Campus for a second intensive session the following spring, with final projects presented during the subsequent fall or winter term. Part-time study options are available, provided courses are taken in sequence (maximum six years).
