The iBA program caters to students passionate about exploring global dynamics and worldwide challenges through the lens of Humanities and Social Sciences. This program aims to equip learners with crucial knowledge and analytical capabilities for researching cultural, economic, political, religious, and social phenomena on an international level.
While both the iBA and traditional BA degrees require 120 credit hours, the iBA stands apart by mandating specialized international studies courses and language training.
English studies revolve around two core competencies - analytical reading and expressive writing. Certain courses may emphasize creative writing, while others focus on textual analysis and interpretation, though these skills are typically integrated. An English degree provides exceptional training in linguistic mechanics.
Within the English Department, you'll explore both contemporary and classical ideas through diverse texts ranging from experimental to traditional forms. You'll examine seminal literary works, participate in thought-provoking discussions about interpretation, literary evolution, future trends, personal identity, and global citizenship. Our curriculum is structured to sharpen critical thinking, enhance close reading abilities, and refine writing proficiency.
