The Cognitive and Behavioural Ecology Program (CABE) is a cross-disciplinary graduate initiative concentrating on animal behavior and behavioral ecology. This program prepares students for research that combines cognitive and behavioral science with ecological perspectives. It also examines molecular, developmental, and evolutionary dimensions of cognition and behavior. Faculty advisors come from various departments including Biology, Ocean Sciences, Psychology, Medicine, and Environmental Science at Grenfell Campus, along with adjunct professors from Canadian Wildlife Service, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Forestry and Wildlife Divisions, and Parks Canada.

PhD – The doctoral program requires coursework, comprehensive examinations, and a dissertation, typically completed within four years of full-time enrollment.
