Psychology explores human behavior and mental processes. This scientific discipline uses rigorous methods to examine actions, thoughts, and conscious experiences. Professional psychologists utilize these insights to enhance human well-being. An undergraduate psychology degree, with its emphasis on writing, research, and statistical analysis, equips graduates with versatile skills for numerous career paths.
Our psychology majors give students a comprehensive foundation in psychological science, culminating in intimate seminar-style courses that provide practical research opportunities across diverse fields - from studying seabird patterns to evaluating human perspectives and investigating memory and spatial cognition.
Students can pursue major, minor, or honors programs resulting in either a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in psychology. We also provide a combined Biology-Psychology honors program (B.Sc.).
The Psychology Department features a competitive co-operative education track for psychology majors, with limited enrollment available through a selective admissions process.
