Honours Biology – Physiology explores the functioning of organisms across all scales, from molecular interactions to complete biological systems.
Participants in this course examine various physiological mechanisms like metabolic processes, development, reproductive systems, gas exchange, fluid balance, and waste removal.

This discipline focuses on understanding biological functions, encompassing investigations into metabolic pathways, organismal development, reproductive biology, respiratory mechanisms, fluid regulation, and waste management. The field also analyzes how organisms perceive and adapt to environmental stressors like oxygen deprivation or ecological changes including contamination and climate shifts. Physiological research spans multiple organizational levels, from biochemical components to cellular structures, tissue networks, organ systems, and entire organisms.
