The English Department provides MA students with a program tailored to their academic aspirations. We deliver an enriching educational journey for those seeking the MA as their final degree, while equipping students aiming for doctoral studies with essential skills and knowledge. Graduates holding a BA, HBA, or Concurrent Education degree in English find compelling reasons to advance their literary studies with us. Our MA program enables students to explore their academic passions through flexible pathways, including: a thesis option for in-depth research on chosen topics; a coursework alternative exposing students to diverse fields and faculty expertise; and a hybrid research-project option blending both approaches.
Our department presents a Master's in English and Cultural Studies with multiple completion paths. We accept applications from both domestic and international students with undergraduate backgrounds in English literature, cultural studies, and related fields.
