The English Department provides MA candidates with a program tailored to their academic aspirations. We deliver an enriching educational journey for those seeking the MA as their final degree, while equipping students aiming for doctoral studies with essential skills and knowledge. Graduates holding a BA, HBA, or Concurrent Education degree in English find compelling reasons to advance their literary studies with us. Our MA program enables scholars to explore their academic passions through diverse pathways: a thesis track for those desiring intensive research on a chosen subject; a coursework alternative offering broad field exposure and collaboration with multiple faculty members; and a hybrid research-project option blending both approaches.
Our department presents a Master's in English and Cultural Studies with flexible completion paths. We invite applications from both domestic and international students with undergraduate backgrounds in English literature, cultural studies, or related fields.
