Biology explores the science of living organisms and life's variety through an evolutionary lens. As a Biology student, you'll discover how species interact, genetic inheritance patterns, evolutionary processes, and more. Our curriculum emphasizes practical experience, offering research and fieldwork components in nearly every course to complement classroom instruction. You'll explore key biological disciplines such as: Anatomy and Physiology, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Heredity, Evolutionary Theory, Species Diversity, Classification Systems, Ecosystem Studies, and Environmental Science. The program offers flexibility to align with your professional goals - whether pursuing a career as a biologist or combining biological sciences with Chemistry, Geography, Environmental Science, or Outdoor Recreation and Tourism studies.
Our intimate department size facilitates participation in faculty research projects spanning ecological studies to biofuel development. Graduates enjoy diverse career pathways including advanced studies in medical, dental, pharmaceutical, veterinary, or graduate programs.

Completion of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD),
or Completion of Grade 12 and the Secondary School Diploma,
A minimum of 6 Grade 12U or M courses, or equivalent, including program specific prerequisite courses,

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme applicants who achieve their diploma with a total score of at least 24 may be eligible for admission. Three Higher Level subjects must be completed. Prerequisite courses can be presented at either Standard Level or Higher Level. Meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission. Some of our competitive programs may require a total score greater than 24.
Successful graduation from an academic secondary school program or equivalent (For most countries, the same academic preparation as is required for university entrance in that country is required for consideration. Refer to Admission Requirements by Country.)
