Environmental studies now integrate diverse fields, blending socio-economic, cultural, and political factors with scientific research. Our Environmental Studies curriculum equips students with comprehensive knowledge to assess ecological problems and solutions from multiple viewpoints. You'll develop essential business acumen, scientific proficiency, and hands-on training to address contemporary environmental and sustainability issues.
The program features shared foundational courses alongside specialized tracks in three key areas: Biology, Earth Science, and Geography. Each pathway incorporates both scientific and humanities-based coursework, delivering balanced preparation for today's complex environmental concerns.
Geography majors can pursue either an Honours Bachelor of Environmental Studies or an Honours Bachelor of Environmental Science, determined by their elective focus on scientific or social science courses. Students specializing in Geography or Biology may also pair their Environmental Studies degree with a Concurrent Education program, qualifying them to teach at the Intermediate/Senior level.
