Engineering is typically linked to solving real-world challenges through analytical approaches that utilize mathematics, science, and problem-solving abilities. At Lakehead, we emphasize that engineers should also have strong communication capabilities and grasp the business, legal, and social factors influencing technological innovation in a global marketplace. As an electrical engineering student, you'll engage in creating and producing electrical and electronic devices. The curriculum covers core principles of physical science alongside hands-on training in designing and managing industrial control systems, communication networks, electronic components, and power generation and distribution.
Virtually every sector relies on electricity and electrical equipment, creating global demand for qualified specialists in this discipline. Our Electrical Engineering program holds accreditation from the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB). We provide multiple entry options for our Bachelor of Engineering degrees to support students at various educational levels.
