The Associate of Arts in Sociology is a two-year provincial credential program. This program serves as a foundation for students aiming to enter a Bachelor of Arts degree. The Sociology Associate Degree facilitates credit transfers to other institutions, enhances intellectual growth, and equips students with academic skills applicable across diverse professional settings. The curriculum covers key sociological themes, foundational theories, Canadian society studies, and specialized sociology topics.
Graduates of this program who choose to further their education at KPU can opt for a Bachelor of Arts with a Sociology Major or Minor. Completing these degrees requires additional 2000-level courses, so students should review the BA program details carefully.
