The Global Health Studies program combines community health education with examinations of worldwide development and globalization trends. This curriculum emphasizes how community health initiatives intersect with large-scale global disparities, especially poverty, while exploring how health challenges connect to broader power dynamics involving capitalism, resource depletion, international food systems, and the consequences of racism, sexism, colonialism, worker exploitation, and ecological decline on a global scale. Learners enjoy interdisciplinary training that merges Health Sciences, Geography, and Sociology with specialized courses from the Centre for Global Studies.
