Biomedical science is an expanding multidisciplinary area that fosters the development, refinement, and application of novel techniques to progress healthcare and human wellbeing. Professionals in this field combine expertise from diverse disciplines including biology, chemistry, anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, and diagnostic sciences. Working collaboratively across specialties, they apply this knowledge to aid in preventing, diagnosing, and treating various medical conditions, while also evaluating existing and emerging laboratory and computational analysis methods.
The Biomedical Sciences undergraduate degree equips learners with modern education, theoretical understanding, practical abilities, and real-world training through both academic instruction and hands-on lab work, complemented by summer fieldwork opportunities.
This curriculum prepares job-market-ready professionals who help pioneer innovative treatments and strategies to improve human health. Alumni may also opt to continue their education through graduate programs, PhD studies, or professional schools such as medicine, dentistry, or pharmacy.
