Humber's Electromechanical Engineering Technology advanced diploma equips you with expertise to assist manufacturers who utilize automation technology to stay competitive worldwide. The curriculum covers industrial automation, robotics, control systems, machining, fluid power systems, safety protocols, mechatronics, microcontroller automation, PLCs, automated welding, mechanical components, and computerized control techniques. You'll also gain proficiency in interpreting technical diagrams and utilizing diagnostic equipment for both electrical and mechanical systems.
Participants have the opportunity to compete in provincial and national mechatronics skills competitions, where Humber students regularly achieve top honors against Canada's leading educational institutions.
This program expands on the fundamentals taught in the Electromechanical Engineering Technician course, opening doors to diverse career paths. Project-based learning and extensive lab work enhance the core skills from the technician program. An optional co-op component allows students to implement their knowledge in real-world settings, acquire professional experience, develop additional competencies, and establish industry connections.
