Manage power with just a switch. Create cutting-edge microchips or aviation control systems. Electrical engineers develop the electrical and electronic devices and systems we rely on daily—from tiny components like smartphone microchips to massive infrastructures like power grids and EV charging stations.
Our advanced labs for digital electronics, power systems, microfabrication, circuits, and digital communications provide hands-on experience with industry-standard tools. Through labs, lectures, and projects, you'll: Develop circuits and electronic systems. Research, design, and manufacture micro devices. Engineer communication systems (protocols, antennas, modulation, networks). Create power electronics for green energy and electric mobility. Master signal processing for biomedical data analysis. Design control systems for aircraft and other vehicles. Gain practical experience through Co-op placements in microelectronics, telecom, and power sectors.
All Engineering programs are CEAB-accredited, making graduates eligible for professional engineer registration. Bachelor of Electrical Engineering students not in Co-op must complete a 12-17-week internship to graduate.
Applicants from countries and education systems are generally admissible if they meet the academic and English-language proficiency requirements for admission to Concordia University, provided they achieve above-average grades overall and in pre-university mathematics courses in their home country. This would translate roughly to a 3.00 CGPA (on a 4.30 scale) or the equivalent of a "B" grade at Concordia University. In most cases, final grade 11 and mid-term grade 12 results are used to calculate admissions averages. A test of English proficiency may also be required.
