The Carpentry program teaches you to utilize mathematical, engineering, and design principles for creating durable construction projects. You'll gain expertise in reading blueprints, structural layout, framing techniques, and installing roofing, wall, and flooring systems, along with interior and exterior finishing work.

Instruction occurs through classroom lessons, workshop sessions, and hands-on training at our Summerside campus carpentry facility. As you progress, you'll enhance your skills by collaborating with peers to construct a two-bedroom cottage, supervised by our certified Red Seal instructors. Upon completion, you'll be prepared to begin your career and pursue Red Seal Certification in Carpentry.
