Georgian College equips you with the expertise and abilities needed to help clients achieve improved wellness or enhanced athletic performance. The program covers core fitness and health promotion subjects including anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, client counseling, and nutrition, supplemented with extensive hands-on training in specialized exercise science facilities. Students acquire real-world experience by preparing nutritious meals in culinary labs, organizing health awareness initiatives, training clients on campus, and completing off-site work placements. Successful graduates may advance to partnered university degree programs through established articulation agreements.
Applicants must hold OSSD or equivalent with the following:
Mature students, non-secondary school applicants (19 years or older), and home school applicants may also be considered for admission. Eligibility may be met by applicants who have taken equivalent courses, upgrading, completed their GED, and equivalency testing.
