The Aquatic Resources degree program provides students with a comprehensive framework to study water systems - including groundwater, watersheds, wetlands, lakes, rivers, and oceans - and explores human management approaches through various social, economic, and political frameworks.
Some of today's most pressing global issues, both current and future, relate to water resources. These encompass climate change impacts, renewable energy solutions, water rights and availability, coastal community vulnerabilities, non-native species proliferation, environmental protection, and maintaining sustainable food production (through fisheries, farming, and aquaculture).
