In this foundational year, learners begin a transformative journey of self-discovery. They build a strong academic foundation, evaluate educational and career paths, and cultivate essential self-management abilities. By engaging with Indigenous languages and cultural teachings, students deepen their understanding of personal cultural identity. Daily practices like traditional teachings and smudging are woven into all aspects of campus life, including social events, coursework, and visits from Traditional Teacher Elders.

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent or mature student status
Grade 12 English (C or U)
Mature students, non-secondary school applicants (19 years or older), and home school applicants may also be considered for admission. Eligibility may be met by applicants who have taken equivalent courses, upgrading, completed their GED, and equivalency testing.
