The General Arts & Science Diploma offers a comprehensive liberal arts education developed in collaboration with community partners, equipping students for employment, further college studies, or university transfer. Combining practical training with innovative experiential learning, graduates emerge ready to take on future challenges.
Foundational courses establish key competencies in communication, analytical reasoning, digital skills, mathematics, diversity awareness, scientific principles, and general studies. Students enhance their learning through diverse electives including Film Studies, Addiction Science, Health & Wellness, Psychology, and many others. The program requires completion of three Advanced Level Learning credits across applied/social sciences, mathematics, and/or communications.
During their final year, GAS Diploma students investigate regional challenges, applying their acquired knowledge to develop innovative solutions for real community issues.
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with the majority of Grade 11 and 12 courses at the C, U or M level including the following prerequisites:
Grade 12 English at the C or U level
Grade 11 Math at the C, U or M level

International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic Overall 6.0 with no band less than 6.0; TOEFL Internet-based Test (iBT) or Home Edition 78; TOEFL Computer-based Test 213; Canadian Academic English Language (CAEL. In-person or Online) Overall 60; EIKEN (Test in Practical English Proficiency) Pre-1; The Michigan English Test Overall 58 with no individual score below 56; Pearson Test of English -Academic (Online & In-person) 60; Cambridge English Proficiency 173; Duolingo Overall 110 with no sub score less than 85.
