This program supports students facing various learning difficulties by offering tailored academic adjustments and adaptations. Participants develop their educational and career-related competencies through core and combined classes, applying these skills during practical placements. Learning Facilitators adapt integrated coursework to match each student's unique capabilities while offering tutoring and assistance to maintain an optimal balance of challenge and attainability. The program equips learners for entry-level employment while fostering autonomy and self-advocacy for adulthood. Upon completion, graduates qualify for diverse introductory positions. Successful participants may pursue additional college programs if they satisfy standard admission criteria, though subsequent programs are completed independently without specialized support or modifications.

Community Integration Through Co-operative Education admission requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements to be eligible for admission to this program:

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)/Certificate (OSSC), or be at least 19 years of age on the first day of classes
demonstrate academic needs which require curriculum modification, accommodation, and learning facilitator support in order to succeed
demonstrate a level of independence that does not require constant supervision
Please note that first-year enrolment is limited, satisfying minimum entrance requirements does not guarantee admission. Applicants must complete the selection process to determine admissibility.

Mature students, non-secondary school applicants (19 years or older), and home school applicants may also be considered for admission. Eligibility may be met by applicants who have taken equivalent courses, upgrading, completed their GED, and equivalency testing.
