Develop skills to support children and adolescents facing social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties linked to mental health concerns, cognitive and neurodevelopmental conditions, socioeconomic circumstances, trauma experiences, or justice system involvement. As Child and Youth Care professionals, you'll collaborate with vulnerable young individuals and their families across diverse environments, helping them overcome obstacles while fostering their inherent strengths to promote meaningful transformation. The program focuses on studying, applying, and refining various research-backed therapeutic approaches grounded in principles of risk assessment, resilience building, ecological systems theory, relationship-based practice, developmental psychology, family dynamics, equity principles, and special needs education. Our curriculum highlights hands-on learning experiences, community engagement initiatives, and pathways for social entrepreneurship, innovation, and creating positive change.
