The one-year Plumbing Techniques certificate program provides training for residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing applications, with primary emphasis on home plumbing systems. This practical training program is ideal for those pursuing apprenticeships or careers in construction fields. Through hands-on learning experiences, the Plumbing Techniques program teaches students about:
essential tools, materials, equipment, and industry techniques
calculating material and labor expenses
correct operation of both manual and electric tools
safety protocols for tool usage
Students will learn current industry standards and building regulations while addressing health, safety, and energy efficiency concerns.
Have graduated from senior secondary school or equivalent (those applying for a postgraduate program must have graduated from a university or college)
Be 17 years of age or older at the time of registration
Applicants with transcripts from an institution where the language of instruction is not English may meet English language proficiency requirements with one of the following proofs of language proficiency.
