Trees purify the air and offer essential natural respite from urban environments. This program teaches urban tree and canopy maintenance while providing foundational knowledge of the landscaping field. Graduates of Urban Forestry will be equipped to preserve and manage trees and shrubs in cityscapes and community green areas.

You'll acquire both theoretical understanding and hands-on skills for comprehensive urban tree maintenance.
Though focusing on ground-based tree and landscape care, you'll learn to operate, service, and repair equipment like chainsaws, wood chippers, stump grinders, and related machinery.
The program enables identification of about 140 tree and shrub species across different seasonal conditions.
To safeguard urban vegetation, you'll develop skills to diagnose and treat common pests, diseases, and tree ailments - applying modern methods and treatments to enhance plant vitality.
