For more than 15 years, Fleming has prepared students for rewarding careers in firefighting and rescue operations. Our curriculum combines rigorous academics with practical training in cutting-edge facilities, all led by experienced firefighting professionals. With both fall and winter enrollment options, the intensive three-semester program allows completion in just one year. Students engage in immersive hands-on training during spring and fall, simulating real emergency situations, while winter focuses on theoretical coursework, college-level studies, and EMR Standard medical certification. Graduates emerge fully qualified for immediate entry into the fire service profession.
The program features over 60 days of practical instruction at the Eastern Ontario Emergency Training Academy (EOETA), a premier facility with comprehensive resources for fire and emergency services training.
